Miguel Diaz-Canel is Briefed on BioCubaFarma”s Contributions

Cuban First Vice President Miguel Diaz-Canel has attended the session of the Commission on Education, Culture, Science and Environment of the National Assembly (Parliament) today.

The parliamentarians discussed different issues, among them, the scientific contributions made by the business group BioCubaFarma.

According to the president of the business group, Carlos Manuel Gutierrez, BioCubaFarma was created in 2012 in order to manufacture medicines, health equipment and services and is currently developing a treatment plan for cancer, the second leading cause of death on the island.
