Mexican Vice-Foreign Minister: Havana ACS”s Summit Makes it Stronger

Mexico works to strengthen the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) and in this regard supports Cuba’s proposals for the Seventh Summit in Havana, said today the Mexican Deputy Foreign Minister Socorro Flores.

The Deputy secretary of Foreign Affairs for Latin America and the Caribbean spoke exclusively to Prensa Latina and defended the ACS ‘as a very important space for cooperation’ in the region.

We are very pleased with the strengthening of the Association, which began in Pétion Ville, Haiti (2013), and then continued in the 6th Summit held in Merida, Yucatan, in April 2014, she pointed out.

In addition, it was assured that the meeting in Mexico aimed to revitalize the ACS on its twentieth anniversary.
