Smithsonian Institute Interested in Cooperation with Cuba

One of the reasons I’m here is because the Smithsonian Institute of the United States –the world’s largest group of museums – is interested in cooperating with Cuba, David Skorton, secretary of the U.S. institute visiting the island told reporters.

The researcher, part of the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities of the United States -in this capital since Monday- said that they have met with national artists and expressed he was very impressed by Cuban traditions.

With 19 museums scattered throughout his country and nine research centers, the Smithsonian Institute hosts a variety of themes in its facilities, specialized in natural art, science, culture and history.
