Obama''s Policy toward Cuba Enters US Election Campaign

The policy of US President Barack Obama towards Cuba and his next visit to that country have entered the presidential campaign with a view to the elections on November 8.

In that sense, the Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, agreed in demanding the lifting of the blockade imposed against Cuba and expressed their support for the new political course on bilateral ties started by Obama.

During a debate last night in Miami, Florida, the former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton recalled that she supported the actions of the President regarding Cuba and told him that he should reestablish diplomatic relations with Cuba.
