Cuba, EU Confident of Advancing to Conclude Framework Agreement

Cuba and the European Union are confident of making substantial progress in their negotiations to conclude an agreement of political dialog and bilateral cooperation.

In the start of the two-day 7th Round of Negotiations of such an agreement at the Cuban Foreign Ministry headquarters, the Deputy Secretary General for Economic and Global Issues at the European External Action Service, Christian Leffler, said that “we are in a good condition to advance very substantially in the negotiation of the future framework agrement between the EU and Cuba.”

The leader of the EU delegation to this round said that after the meeting in Brussels in December, 2015, the parties have exchanged views, proposals and texts to prepare this round.
