Mexico Receives Two Flights with Cuban Migrants

Mexican immigration authorities received today two flights with Cuban migrants from Costa Rica and Panama, who intend to reach the United States.

A total of 271 Cubans obtained temporary residence permit for 20 days in order to cross the US border. The US immigration policies provide benefits for political reasons to migrants from the island,while citizens of other nationalities are discriminated.

Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, and Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, both cities in the border with USA, received respectively the flights from Costa Rica and Panama, due to an agreement of the Mexican government with several Central American countries.
