Ballet Schools of Cuba and the United States Strengthen Exchanges

 

The Cuban School of Ballet Fernando Alonso and the Ruth Page Center for the Arts of Chicago will strengthen this year their educational and cultural exchanges, said today the director of the center, Victor Alexander Ramirez.

The former dancer of the company Danza Contemporanea de Cuba, said to Prensa Latina that next summer a group of American students will exchange knowledge and techniques with Cuban students of the school, in which the former dancer Ramona de Saa is the director.

According to the dancer, Cuban students will travel to Chicago to continue the beautiful project, that started in 2015 and it is consider as a cultural bridge between the Cuba and the United States.

Both schools will be present at the 22nd International encounter of academies for teaching ballet and the 1st International Choreography Competition, Victor Alexander Ramirez said via email.
