Cuban President Raúl Castro met today with high ranking officials in this capital, on the last day of a State visit to France.
He started the day with a meeting with Director General of Unesco, Irina Bokova, at the headquarters of the organization.
They both highlighted the excellend march of relations between Cuba and Unesco, which will turn 70 in year 2017.
Later, he met successively with the President of the National Assembly of france, Claude bartolone; President of the Senate, Gerard Larcher; the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, and Prime Minister of France Manuel Valls.
After those meetings, he visited the Musee de l’Homme (Museum of the Man), the remodeling of which concluded recently.
Friends of Cuba’s gathered outsied the museum to express their solidarity, carrying Cuban flags and cheering the Cuban visitor.
Raul Castro and French President Francois Hollande reaffirmed yesterday the willingness to strengthen bilateral relations in a joint statement from the Elysee Palace.
