On January 28th, Cuba’s embassy in the US held an event from the organization Consorcio Cuba.Consorcio Cuba is a project of the Howard Baker Forum gathering enterprises, non-profit organizations, investors, academicians and entrepreneurs. This organization also monitors and analyzes the process of normalizing relations between Cuba and the United States. Besides, it provides its members with accurate information on the new business opportunities emerging in Cuba.
Former senator Thomas A. Daschle delivered the opening speech. Later, Cuban ambassador in the United States, Jose Ramon Cabanas Rodriguez, welcomed the more than 60 participants in the event. Other personalities exchanged viewpoints in the event and they were Jodi Bond, vice-president of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; Daniel J. Jones, vice-president of the Daschle Group, and Scott Campbell, Chairman of the Howard Baker Forum.
