Namibian Parliament President, Peter Katjavivi, will soon pay an official visit to Cuba, said Giraldo Mazola, ambassador of the Caribbean nation in the African country.

At a meeting on Tuesday, the leader of the Namibian legislature expressed his desire to visit the island, where he will participate in the International Conference “With all and for the good of all,” pointed out the Cuban diplomat, Prensa Latina reported from Windhoek, the Namibian capital .

Katjavivi told the ambassador that his main objective during his stay on the island is to learn from Cuba’s experience and ratify the close bonds of friendship existing between the two governments and peoples.

The legislator also expressed interest in learning more about Cuba’s National Hero Jose Marti, and his role in the country’s independence.

Katjavivi considers Cuba as a key actor in the recent history of the Namibian people, asserted the Cuban diplomat.
