Plenum of the Party Central Committee evaluates documents to be discussed at the 7th Party Congress

The Thirteenth Plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba analyzed several documents to be presented to the 7th Party Congress in April this year, over two productive days of discussion.

The Conceptualization of the Cuban Socio-Economic Model of Socialist Development was debated, regarding which members of the Central Committee had previously presented some 600 considerations.

Marino Murillo Jorge, a member of the Party Political Bureau and head of the Permanent Commission for the Implementation and Development of the Economic and Social Policy Guidelines, noted that all opinions are being analyzed in order to present a higher quality document to the 7th Party Congress. In general, he added, there is consensus on the importance of defining the theoretical basis and the essential characteristics of the Cuban economic and social model.
